How to reach Kefalonia

Kefalonia lies south of Lefkas(Lefkada) and Ithaca and to the north of Zante(Zakynthos), opposite the mouth of golf Patras and can be reached by boat or by plane. There are various ports in Italy(Bari, Ancona, Brindisi & Venice), the Greek mainland(Igoumenitsa), the Peloponnese(Patra and Kilini), as well as neighboring islands, such as, Lefkas, Corfu (Kerkyra), Ithaca, and Zante, from which Kefalonia can be reached. Since the near completion of Egnatia Odos motorway(E90), it is possible to drive from northern Greece and Balkan countries – Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia. etc, and Turkey to Lefkas and then take the boat across to Kefalonia. There is also an international airport on the island, which has daily flights from Athens and various European countries, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, U.K. etc.

Hotel location

Our hotel is situated at the south of the island of Kefalonia. It is 2 kilometres south of the village of Karavados and just 600 meters from the beach of St. Thomas. It is not built in a residential area, therefore a quiet and nature full environment, is guaranteed. It is withing a 15-minute drive from the islands international airport (EFL) and an hour’s drive from the islands two major ports, Sami and Poros. It is ideally placed with in an easy reach of all of Kefalonia’s main attractions and its capital, the town of Argostoli.
